"CCM e-Forum" - Country Coordinating Mechanisms Online Discussions

The CCM e-forum is scheduled to start in July under a new communications platform called MyGlobalFund which will launched in July 2007. The CCM e-forum is for CCMs themselves, principal recipients, sub recipients, civil society organisations, members of the private sector, development partners and other stakeholders involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in grant recipient countries.

  • Staff of international and national non-government organizations managing HIV/AIDS and drugs programs;

    A Session of the Presidium of the Country Multisectoral Coordination Committee to fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (CMCC)

    On March 14, the Next Session of the Presidium of the Country Multisectoral Coordination Committee to fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (CMCC) has been held in the Center of Healthcare Development.

    The CMCC Presidium meeting has been conducted with participation of a new expanded CMCC Presidium membership, presented by state authorities, donor society, non-government organizations and civil sector. The purpose of the session was to overview the preparation process of grant proposal for the 7th Call of the Global Fund to fight against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

    Addition to and development of national and state programmes, accordance to the Global Fund’s requirements, connection with implementing projects and programmes are considered to be main principles together with large participation of all interested sectors.

    The participants of the meeting have outlined following key directions of the grant proposal: development of comprehensive targeted programmes for the most vulnerable citizens, particularly reducing the vulnerability of young people, mobile groups of citizens and injection drug users; improvement of medical services, including the security of medical procedures and safe donated blood as well as developing an information, education and communications policy.

    According to the CMCC Presidium meeting conclusion, the process of preparation of the grant proposal will be actively elaborated in accordance with the proposal’s development plan, and given comments and additions from the CMCC Presidium members.

    "Technical consultation on HIV/AIDS prevention and care among injecting drug users" to be held in Vienna, Austria, from 6 to 7 March 2007

    UNODC as the lead agency on HIV/AIDS prevention and care among injecting drug users, is organizing, on behalf of the UNAIDS family, a "Technical consultation on HIV/AIDS prevention and care among injecting drug users" in Vienna from 6 to 7 March 2007.

    The main purpose of the consultation is to provide countries with an opportunity to exchange experiences on the implementation of programmes addressing HIV/AIDS prevention and care among injecting drug users.

    Competition on participating in the Programme of International Capacity Building and Development in HIV/AIDS area

    Unit for coordination and monitoring in HIV/AIDS area, Office of Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, supported by United Nations Development Programme
    in cooperate with
    “InWent” German Foundation funded by Government of Federative Republic of Germany

    invite teachers and specialists
    to participate in the competition on participating in the Programme of International Capacity Building and Development in HIV/AIDS area.

    Selected candidates will take 6 month distant course and 2 cycles of full-time learning with awarding international certificate. Successfully graduated teachers and specialists will participate in applying and implementing of distant course in Kyrgyz Republic.

    Requirement qualifications:

    • University degree in medicine or social sciences;
    • 3 years working experience in HIV/AIDS area;
    • Good computer and Internet skills;
    • Excellent knowledge of English language;
    • Experience in teaching.
